Sleeve-It Automatic Shrink Sleeve and Neck Band Applicator

The Sleeve-It, SKU CE-SLV120, is an automatic applicator that cuts roll-fed heat-shrinkable tubing into individual bands or sleeves and places them onto containers moving through a conveyor line. Use it for tamper-evident neck banding or partial- and full-body shrink sleeves within the machine’s material and cut-length limits. The documented maximum rate is up to 100 applications per minute; actual throughput depends on the container, sleeve material, conveyor speed, spacing, and setup.

Designed for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and cosmetic packaging applications, Sleeve-It combines PLC control, a touchscreen operator interface, an adjustable-height stand, and a motorized bottle spacing wheel. It applies bands on the fly without stopping or slowing each bottle during application. A downstream heat tunnel then shrinks the applied material around the container. Sleeve-It applies the material; it does not perform the heat-shrinking step.

How Sleeve-It Works

Roll-fed flat tubing, typically PVC or PET, passes over a size-matched spreader and through feed rollers. The rollers advance the selected length to the knife, which cuts an individual band. A suction cup holds the cut band until a photoelectric sensor detects an approaching container. A pneumatic plunger places the band onto the container, and the machine prepares the next band. The speed-controlled spacing wheel helps create the gap needed between incoming bottles.

Select the spreader and change parts to match the tubing width and container application. Confirm sleeve fit, cut length, conveyor alignment, and bottle spacing before production. Partial- or full-body sleeve compatibility depends on the container dimensions and the supported material range; the lay-flat width specification should not be treated as a bottle-diameter rating.

Plan for a compatible conveyor, downstream heat tunnel, electrical service, and clean, dry compressed air free of oil, water, and impurities. Confirm the supplied machine’s electrical label and schematic before connection.
